Inkleaf

FAQ

Is it full color like my phone screen?

No — and we'd rather tell you up front. E-ink shows four matte tones: paper, black, a warm red, and amber. Photos come through as a beautiful, almost screen-printed version of themselves. If you want a glowing full-color photo, this isn't that. If you want something calm and gallery-like, it's exactly that.

Does it need charging or a battery?

Never. E-ink only uses power in the instant the image changes — and that power comes from the NFC tap itself. Once set, the image holds with zero battery, even with the case off your phone.

Will it work with MagSafe and wireless charging?

Wireless charging works. The e-ink layer can slow it modestly, and MagSafe magnets hold a little less firmly than a bare case. For everyday charging you're completely fine. If you rely on a strong MagSafe snap for a car mount, we'll be honest — a standard case is better for that.

Which phones are supported?

Right now: iPhone 14, 15, and 16 (Pro and Pro Max), where NFC transfer is most reliable. We're adding models as we confirm each one works well — we won't list a phone we haven't tested.

How do I change the image?

Open the free companion app, pick any image, and tap your phone to the case. It takes a few seconds. Change it as often as you like — the display is rated for tens of thousands of refreshes.

How long does the image last?

Indefinitely. E-ink holds a static image with no power, so it stays exactly as you set it — until you decide to change it.

Is it a real protective case?

Yes. Raised edges around the screen and camera, shock-absorbing corners, and a matte grip finish. It protects like any good case — it just happens to be a canvas too.

What if I don't love it?

30 days, full refund, no interrogation. If you don't reach for it, send it back. See our Returns & Refunds page for details.
